31st December 2012

It's time of the year to look back at what you've done the past 364 days, mostly with full of gratitude, reflect a little on it, self- evaluate from 1-10 your performance on 2012. Turning 24 just 11 days ago, does make me a little wise, I hope.

Did I set a goal? Made a plan? Get to work, stick to it, and reached my goals... Let's scroll! :)

Working events to events: We started the year with February Spectacular 2012, 33 of our team went, and started on a rough journey, it was the beginning of throwing out the weeds and planting new seeds, and nurturing a team. Then we had 50 people in Extravaganza Singapore in May. Then a little more than 12 of us at Herbalife University in Macau in September.

Also, my first Indonesian Spectacular in January, met new friends and visited new clubs in Jakarta. It was my first time riding the "Angkot" (common transportation)...

Personal moments: Doing a small part in the HFF Dinner in Macau- a sight to behold, generous millionaires (amazing leadership) giving out money for charity really was an eye opener (We raised over USD1 Million in 3 hours!

Representing Malaysia and Gen H for Future Millionaire Team Retreat in Macau, hosting for Chairman's Club Michael Palmsteirna Hamilton in Penang, 10km Star Walk and finished 6th place with a medal, and a photo with the Korean leadership. All of them gave a new the meaning to NEVER GIVING UP and Unity!

Travels 2012: I can't tell you enough how much I treasure travelling, I just dislike packing, but travel and seeing the world is just awesome. Riding the transformer ride in Singapore, thumbs up at Stonehenge, take the Eurostar from Paris-London, visit the Sacre Couer, Montmatre-beautiful view of Pairs, thumbs up again at the Thames and Big Ben, and having dinner at Chartier, having a cool French waiter like Jessie and eating escargot!

Jim Rohn said this, "Why not you soaking up history in London, or having lunch in those neat sidewalk cafe in Paris, one day gaze directly at the MonaLisa?"

And I did. I still need someone to pinch me. :) #amillionthankyous will not be adequate.

Harry Potter geek: Most of us grew up with Harry Potter and when I planned my trip to London, the studio just had opened a couple months, so I'm super lucky and the best 12 pounds I spent taking the photo of me riding the broomstick! Butter beer tasted like root beer, but we spent a good 3 hours at the Warner Bros' studio oogling at all the HP props.

So it's goodbye 2012. You have been so kind. And so adventurous, all the hardships, and tears, sweat and blood paid off. And best part is, I'm just getting started.

I'm embracing 2013 with a Spectacular plan! And I know adventure awaits, and I pray for more wisdom, patience, and discipline to take on the next year.

The best decision I've made since 2009 or in 2012, is constantly asking myself this questions:

Who am I around?
What are these associations doing to me?
Is that ok? Positive/negative? Good/Bad?

One of the best stories I hold on and pass it on....

Perhaps you've heard the story of the little bird. He had his wing over his eye and he was crying.

The owl said to the bird, "You are crying."

"Yes," said the little bird, and he pulled his wing away from his eye.

"Oh, I see," said the owl. "You're crying because the big bird pecked out your eye."

And the little bird said, "No, I'm not crying because the big bird pecked out my eye. I'm crying because I let him."

It's easy to let influence shape our lives, to let associations determine our direction, to let pressures overwhelm us, and to let tides take us. The big question is: Are we letting ourselves become what we wish to become?

Recently there is this career/edu ad that came out, "What success means to you?"

People answered: Happiness, balance career and family, money, education...

For me success is simple, may be summarized in a few quotes

1) Be grateful of what you have while in pursuit of finer things in life.
2) The greatest value is not what we acquire, the greatest value in life is what we've become
3) Friedrich Nietzsche said: “He who has a Why to live for, can bear almost any How.”

Jim Rohn said: “If the WHY is big enough the HOW becomes easy.

So Farewell 2012! I want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy new year! May you continue to have passion in whatever you do! Also for those whom I've crossed paths with, thank you for your friendship.... I pray for everybody to be wiser, stronger and better in 2013!

And first of order of success: is showing up! Let's be a Now person, not next time, tomorrow... ;)
See you in Spectacular 2013! Live to be inspired and to inspire!
